ROBERT S. KATZ
Bob Katz , a Senior Partner in the firm, has devoted his practice exclusively to property tax matters, both locally and throughout the United States, since 1978. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Real Estate Tax Bar Association and has been appointed to the New York City Tax Certiorari Advisory Committee, which consists of representatives from the judiciary, municipal officials and the private bar. He has also been a member of the Tax Certiorari and Condemnation Committees for both the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and the New York State Bar Association.
Mr. Katz is thoroughly familiar with all facets of real estate having advised investors in and owners of hotels; regional and specialty shopping centers; office buildings; apartment complexes and department stores. His clients have included AIMCO; Soros Real Estate Advisors, L.P.; Goldman Sach’s Whitehall Real Estate Fund; Mall Properties, Inc. (the real estate development firm headed by Morton L. Olshan); Federated Department Stores; Inter-Continental Hotels; Wyndam Hotels; The Metropolitan Life Insurance Company; and Acadia Realty Trust.
Clients of Mr. Katz’s own or manage over 15,000,000 square feet of office space; 16,000,000 square feet of regional malls and other retail facilities; 7,500 hotel rooms and 250,000 residential units throughout the United States.
Mr. Katz graduated from New York University in 1969, and from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1972.
