Herman & Katz, LLP was founded in November 2005 as a result of the merger of the law practices of Jay M. Herman, formerly a partner with the firms of Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman, LLP and Koeppel Martone Leistman & Herman, LLP and the Law Offices of Robert S. Katz. The guiding philosophy of the firm is to provide the highest level of professional service and results.
In February 2007, the practice expanded substantially with the addition of Andrew G. Cangemi, a seasoned litigator of real estate tax, condemnation and other property valuation issues and formerly a longtime partner with the law firm of Siegel Fenchel & Peddy, P.C.
Kevin M. Clyne joined the firm in April 2006 after years of practicing solely in the areas of property tax litigation and condemnation/eminent domain.
The partners have well over a century of combined experience in the areas of property tax review and eminent domain, and have represented clients at both the administrative and judicial level throughout New York State – from New York City to Long Island, from lower New York State of the Hudson Valley and Capital Region, from western New York State of the Finger Lakes and beyond.
